Poop Tracking Apps Available Soon on Android, iPhone and iPad

It Happens to All of Us!

OVERVIEW This application is designed to assist in logging bowel movements without being too gross. It is designed for people of all ages.  There are multiple reasons for keeping track which include but are not limited to digestive diseases and disorders. You can also use it for your own personal entertainment to log your bowel movements, BM, stools, poop, poo, ca-ca, crap, doo-doo, turds, shit, number 2 or whatever you call it or make a game out of it with your friends! I personally have diverticulitis so I started using the PoopLog app but it lacked several things that my gastroenterologist asked me to track. Therefore, I had this app created to help me. Unfortunately I am not a computer geek and had to pay someone to build it, so the app will be free for the basic data but for more extensive record keeping the cost will be .99 to assist with the cost of maintaining the app. If you have any ideas to make it a better app or problems with the app please email me because I may not see everything in the review section. I will submit them to the developer for an update on a monthly basis. FEATURES Log, edit, share and report your bowel movements Keep track of your stools according to the Bristol Stool Scale, size, color, smell, pain level, stress level, abdominal pain, urgency, straining, constipation, diarrhea, bleeding, mucus and additional custom categories. Exported to a csv file for easy transitioning to an excel spreadsheet.  Information obtained from Wikipedia and “The Truth About Poop” by Susan E. Goodman helped in creating this app. Sync with multiple devices Get reminded when it’s time for medicine or any other activity Detailed statistics show you averages, percentages and totals of all activities Daily journal for note taking Store notes and photos with any record Search within the app for any activity type, note or journal entry   HOW TO USE RECORD POOP Click on the “Record Poop” Button The dated and time default to the current date based on your phone settings but can be manually changed The location default is home but can be manually changed. The Bristol Stool Form Scale is a medical aid designed to classify the form of human feces into seven types:

  • Type 1: Separate hard lumps, like nuts (hard to pass)
  • Type 2: Sausage-shaped, but lumpy
  • Type 3: Like a sausage but with cracks on its surface
  • Type 4: Like a sausage or snake, smooth and soft
  • Type 5: Soft blobs with clear cut edges (passed easily)
  • Type 6: Fluffy pieces with ragged edges, a mushy stool
  • Type 7: Watery, no solid pieces. Entirely liquid

Types 1–2 indicate constipation, with 3 and 4 being the ideal stools (especially the latter), as they are easy to defecate while not containing any excess liquid, and 5, 6 and 7 tending towards diarrhea. Record the size as small, medium or large Record the color as brown, green, light colored (white or clay colored), Yellow (greasy), black, or bright red Record smell, pain, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, strain, strength of urgency and stress level as none, mild, moderate or severe Record blood or mucus in the stool, on the stool, on the toilet paper or in the toilet Photograph (if you want) your poop and add it to the record or share it Make additional notes for referencing later EDIT POOP Make changes or delete records previously entered. Calendar view will be displayed then go to the date the record happened. Click on the record that you want to edit or delete. The entire database can be deleted from this menu also.
